Animaritime is a not-for-profit event which relies on volunteers in order for the event to run smoothly, or at all. Therefore if you are interested in anime, gaming, pop culture or just not doing anything for a few hours that weekend stop on by and help out.

What does Animaritime get?
In return for your volunteer commitment (at least 4 hours minimum), Animaritime gets a dedicated volunteer to assist during the convention. With this, the convention can run smoothly and ensure a good time for staff, volunteers and attendees.
What are the rules?
All volunteers are required to complete a Volunteer Application and in doing so you agree to adhere to the Convention Policies and Code of Conduct. Registration to the convention is not required. Volunteer Applications will be closed a week before convention in order for training to take place. Volunteers should be 14 years (consent form required) or older.
What will I be doing?
Volunteer will be situated in the following areas:
Training
Training for the convention will take place the Thursday before the convention at 3:00 pm in the Garrison Room in the Crowne Plaza or Friday the day of the convention at 10:00 am also in the Garrison Room. Training will consist of showing the layout of the convention, going over the rules, and training for your appointed shifts. Volunteers are asked to attend at least one meeting/training session.

What will I be doing?

- Registration – signing in attendees at Registration
- Info – assisting with selling tickets for dances and Café events, merchandise and providing general information
- Line Control - making sure people are in the correct lane for registration
- Guest handler – helping guests and making sure they arrive to their panels on time
- Exhibition – ensuring walkways are clear and fire exits free
- Gaming – renting video games to attendees
Training
